Senior Business Intelligence Developer @University Pension Plan Ontario
About me
Senior Business Intelligence & Analytics professional with 4+ years of experience delivering end-to-end analytics and data solutions across pensions, manufacturing and food production industries. Currently working as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer at University Pension Plan Ontario, where I design scalable BI ecosystems, semantic layers, AI-powered analytics capabilities and cloud-based data pipelines using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery, Domo, SQL, Python(Pandas, Numpy) and Airflow.
My experience spans the complete analytics lifecycle from business requirement gathering, data ingestion, ETL development, semantic modeling, dashboard design and performance optimization to governance, deployment, documentation, stakeholder training and production support. I collaborate closely with business and leadership teams to translate complex operational challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions that support strategic decision-making. At UPP, I have partnered with teams across Pension Operations, Corporate Finance, Legal, Cash Operations, Responsible Investing and Member Experience to deliver enterprise reporting, self-service analytics and AI-enabled business insights. I have worked extensively on pension-related business processes and regulatory reporting workflows including Retirement & Termination workflows, Annual Statements, Beneficiary Estimators, SLA tracking and operational reporting aligned with pension administration and FSRA compliance requirements. My work includes building governed semantic layers in BigQuery, implementing secure reporting environments using Row-Level Security (RLS) and AD-based access controls, developing AI-driven chatbots natural language-to-SQL solutions to improve accessibility to enterprise data.
Previously, I worked with Flowers Foods through SapienX, contributing to enterprise reporting modernization initiatives, Microsoft Fabric implementations, Power BI governance, SQL optimisation and analytics transformation projects involving datasets exceeding 100M+ records. My role focused heavily on analytics engineering, enterprise reporting architecture, ETL optimization, data modeling, and business process improvement rather than just dashboard creation.
Passionate about the future of analytics, AI and modern data platforms, I continuously explore and work with technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake and Amazon Web Services to build scalable, intelligent and future-ready analytics solutions.
